  • The closest major airport is Jacksonville International Airport (JAX), about 75 miles south.
  • Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) is another option, about 85 miles north.
  • Brunswick Golden Isles Airport (BQK) is the nearest regional airport, just 20 minutes away, with limited commercial flights.
  • If you’re driving, Interstate 95 is the main highway leading to the area. Take Exit 29 for Brunswick, then follow U.S. Highway 17 and F.J. Torras Causeway to reach the island. Parking is available at most hotels and attractions, but the island is very walkable and bike friendly.
  • Greyhound offers bus service to Brunswick, GA, which is a short drive from St. Simons Island.
